FRIDAY illustrates the life of workers at Fukushima Dai-ichi

In continuation of last week’s article featuring several heartbreaking pictures from regions that were severely hit by the Great Tohoku Kanto Earthquake and the following tsunamis, the weekly tabloid and pictorial magazine FRIDAY once again focused their main story on the aftermath of this calamity.

For this week’s edition the magazine was able to illustrate the life of those that are struggling to keep the situation at Fukushima Dai-ichi (Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant) from getting any worse. The government and the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) are careful not to let the workers and helpers speak too much in public, but the magazine still managed to get inside the two hotels that are being used as their living quarters where some of them even have to sleep in the corridors.

FRIDAY is not allowed to show the faces of the workers, but even without their expressions it’s easy to see how frustrating it must be to live and work for them.
